We have established a military scholarship endowment in Max's name with East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina where Max attended and graduated.
This scholarship will be awarded to a student who is either active military or a veteran and preferably from Frederick, Maryland
Once the scholarship endowment is fully funded, it will be awarded annually and will exist in perpetuity providing continued financial support for students and academic programs.

We are planning to create speaker events in the near future connecting certified suicide prevention trainers to our community.
Our first annual golf tournament at Holly Hills Country Club in Ijamsville, Maryland raises donations for our mission and brings together family and friends to celebrate Max's life.
We will continue to participate in fundraising events with related foundations including the Out of the Darkness Walk with afsp.org in the Fall 2023. More information to follow on dates.
We lost our beautiful son Maxwell Ronald Tyeryar to suicide on January 29, 2022.
Max had completed his degree in Criminal Justice at East Carolina University and in August 2021 fulfilled his 6 year commitment of military service to his country with the U.S. Army National Guard.
During his time with the National Guard, Max was deployed to Kuwait serving there for 9 months in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
Max earned a Sergeant's ranking and received many service medals including the most distinguished Army Achievement Medal.
Max was a very kind and loving person uniquely humble with his many accomplishments throughout his young life.
Max cared deeply for others and had a gift to help everyone he knew feel better about themselves.
He always masked the true struggle that he was in. His positive attitude and sense of humor hid the real pain that was under his smile.
We are on a lifelong journey to survive losing Max to suicide. We honor his memory and legacy in the work we now do with Max Well For Life.
We're partnering with foundations dedicated to serving our veterans and community, preventing suicide through advocacy, research, education and support.
Our goal is to reach and help those who struggle with their path in life along with the families and friends who have been impacted by the loss of a loved one through suicide.
"And after you have suffered a little while, then God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, establish, and strengthen you"
There is now less laughter in our day, less laughter that fills the night.
Less laughter to find our way, less laughter to help the fight.
Our friend gave us everything, always searching for a song to sing.
Helped us cope when it came to bear, gave us hope when life wasn't fair.
Always had a song in his heart and something kind to say.
He was just ahead of us all in this life and has now flown away.
God's grace and peace be with you.
We'll always love and remember you.
We will see you in paradise one day.
And then we can laugh again.
Thank you Emmett Ward for taking these words and bringing them to life in your music and vocals along with Brian Hedrick's engineering expertise at Frederick Recording Studio.
